SW Portland Bulky Item Disposal/Recycling Event

About the Event
Join us on August 22, 2026 for a chance to dispose of bulky items and difficult to recycle items.
Location: Portland Christian Center 5700 SW Dosch Road Portland
This community event brings together the best of Dumpster Day and a large-scale recycling drive—giving you a convenient, affordable way to clear out those hard-to-dispose-of items while helping keep valuable materials out of the landfill.
Bring your usable furniture, electronics (working or not), scrap metal and appliances, vehicle tires (no rims), mattresses, box springs, and more. Local organizations will be on hand to collect, recycle, repurpose, and reuse as much as possible.
Want to make a difference? We need volunteers to make this event happen! Whether you can lend a hand with setup, greeting participants, directing traffic, or helping at collection stations, your time and energy will help make this a fun, successful event for the entire community. Suggested donations before or during the event:
- Small load car/small SUV = $25
- Small load pickup/minivan = $30
- Full size truck/van/SUV = $35
- Trailer only = $40
- U-Haul 15’ or more = $90+
