About the Event

Join us on August 22, 2026 for a chance to dispose of bulky items and difficult to recycle items.

Location: Portland Christian Center 5700 SW Dosch Road Portland

This community event brings together the best of Dumpster Day and a large-scale recycling drive—giving you a convenient, affordable way to clear out those hard-to-dispose-of items while helping keep valuable materials out of the landfill.

Bring your usable furniture, electronics (working or not), scrap metal and appliances, vehicle tires (no rims), mattresses, box springs, and more. Local organizations will be on hand to collect, recycle, repurpose, and reuse as much as possible.

Suggested donations

  • Small load car/small SUV = $25

  • Small load pickup/minivan = $30

  • Full size truck/van/SUV = $35

  • Trailer only = $40

  • U-Haul 15’ or more = $90+

Suggested donations help fund this event and future community clean-ups. You can donate before or during the event.

  • Computers, LCD/CRT monitors, printers, TVs, cell phones, copiers, video games

  • Mattresses (dry & free of pests)

  • Tires (not on rims)

  • Bagged trash

  • Commercial/Construction materials

  • Yard debris

  • Chemicals, Oil, liquid paint, light bulbs, batteries, sharps/needles

  • Hygiene items

  • Baby/Toddler Items

  • Clothing

  • Toys/Books/games

  • UPS Battery Back up Units, Toner Cartridges

  • Styrofoam
