About the Event
Join us on August 22, 2026 for a chance to dispose of bulky items and difficult to recycle items.
Location: Portland Christian Center 5700 SW Dosch Road Portland
This community event brings together the best of Dumpster Day and a large-scale recycling drive—giving you a convenient, affordable way to clear out those hard-to-dispose-of items while helping keep valuable materials out of the landfill.
Bring your usable furniture, electronics (working or not), scrap metal and appliances, vehicle tires (no rims), mattresses, box springs, and more. Local organizations will be on hand to collect, recycle, repurpose, and reuse as much as possible.
Suggested donations before or during the event:
- Small load car/small SUV = $25
- Small load pickup/minivan = $30
- Full size truck/van/SUV = $35
- Trailer only = $40
- U-Haul 15’ or more = $90+
Your suggested donation helps cover event costs and supports future community clean-up and recycling events.

Print flyers and share with neighbors and/or businesses! You can print for free (up to 100 pages) at your local library?
On the day-of, we have several ways you can get involved:
Set up Crew
Traffic Safety
Greeters & Cashiers
Unloading/dumpster crew

Volunteer Table host
Break Down/clean up crew
