Art In the Village Happy Hour

  • French Quarter Food Carts 3518 Southwest Multnomah Boulevard Portland, Oregon, 97219 United States (map)

We are hosting another Art In The Village Happy Hour on Wednesday, July 8th from 5:30-7:30pm at the French Quarter Food Carts to continue connecting artists of all mediums and anybody who wants to see more public art around Multnomah Village.  We will also be seeking people who want to help trace out the mural at Village Park before we host a community paint event on July 25th to allow the general public the opportunity to be involved.

There are three large mural projects happening in the Village this summer.

  • The zoom care mural is already underway and will be completed in the next week or two by Oliver Casillas.

  • The Village Park mural with design donated by Kevin Tudball and production by the community will take place in late July/early August.

  • The final large project of the summer will be a mural on the Viaduct with all the posts being painted as well as the large flat wall facing Multnomah Blvd between the bridge and Peggy Sunday's.  The artist chosen for the viaduct mural is Derek Yost and the theme is highlighting the history of Multnomah Village through the lens of transportation.  The planned completion for the viaduct mural is end of September with artwork currently being designed.

To learn more about these projects and how to continue to make Multnomah Village an arts destination in Portland, join us for the Art in the Village Happy Hour.

Hope to see you July 8th,

Andy
