Hillsdale Library Temporary Closing
August 24, 2026 to December 2026

Hillsdale Library will close to the public starting August 24, 2026, to install a brand-new roof, lighting and more. The construction will last into December 2026. The precise opening date will be shared widely with the public as soon as it’s set. 

At Hillsdale, updates include:

  • A brand new roof for the entire library.

  • New LED lighting throughout that provides a more comfortable reading and visiting experience.

  • Upgrades to ADA restrooms to include accessible wave operators.

  • New HVAC system equipment

Alternate libraries for services during closure: Capitol Hill Library, Central Library, Sellwood-Moreland Library
