Girls on the Run Greater Oregon: Spring 2026 in Gabriel Park

Girls on the Run Greater Oregon is a nonprofit after school program that supports 3rd–8th grade girls in building confidence, developing life skills, and becoming strong leaders. Our curricula incorporates social emotional learning and physical activity to help youth build a healthy foundation for life.

How families can participate:

  • Registration is now open and families can register their youth (3rd-5th grade) online here. Our team at Gabriel Park will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-5:00pm from the week of April 7th - May 30th.

  • Registration is always sliding scale from $20 - $230 and some full scholarships are available.

About the program:

  • 97% of girls learned critical life skills including resolving conflict, helping others and making intentional decisions.

  • Participants in our program gain more life skills than traditional sports.

  • 97% of girls agreed that they felt included at GOTR and that they could be themselves.

How community members can get involved:

  • Coach: Lead a team of 8-15 youth through fun and impactful weekly lessons. We provide all the training, curriculum, and supplies you need – and you don’t have to be a runner to make a difference.

  • Start a team: Don’t see a team at your local school or park? Work with Girls on the Run staff to start a team.

  • Run for a reason as a SoleMate: Train for a physical activity challenge of your choice while raising critical funds so that more girls can access the program.

  • Adopt-a-Team: By "adopting a team" small businesses can support teams in their neighborhood and gain exposure to local families.
